Indian Americans are known to excel in education and related tests like Scripps National Spelling Bee. Continuing in that tradition, 9-year-old Preesha Chakraborty made it to the list of ‘world’s brightest’ students prepared by the prestigious Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth.
Preesha was figured in the list after the results of above-grade-level tests of over 16,000 students from over 90 countries were assessed, the Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth said.
Preesha is a Grade 3 student at the Warm Spring Elementary school student in Fremont, California.
She had taken the US-based Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth (JH-CTY) test in Summer 2023, a media release said on Monday.
