US President Donald Trump on Friday announced that his administration will revoke Harvard University’s tax-exempt status, days after the university rejected his demands for a series of changes, including demands to limit activism on the campus.
“We are going to be taking away Harvard’s Tax Exempt Status. It’s what they deserve!” Trump said in a post on his social media platform.
The President’s announcement came as Harvard fights a freeze on $2.2 billion in federal grants the Trump administration imposed after the university refused to comply with demands.
